Tara Padua faced her fear of
becoming a career coach.
Yes, she had many instances
in her life that pointed to her skills and abilities as a
coach.
Yes, she had proven to be
successful doing coaching sessions.
But creating a full-time
business was terrifying to her.
But Tara knew that it was
the right move to make.
She created a plan that if
she could get 10 paid clients successfully for six months, and save
up six months worth of salary, then she would resign.
It was an arbitrary goal at
the time, but she felt like she needed a little runway just in case
she didn’t get enough new clients.
Those 10 paid clients made a huge
difference in her coaching business and life.
Tara was able to gain the
confidence she needed to know that she really could build a
business around coaching.
She was able to establish
systems and routines to keep new clients coming.
And Tara joins Philip on the
How to Become a Career Coach podcast to share her journey to become
a career coach, jump the hurdle of her first 10 paid clients, and
build her successful career coaching business.
